Privacy Policy

This privacy statement applies to all business processes in the online store

The statement provides information about data processing performed by us and determines the purpose and means of processing as well as data processing we do on behalf of our customers based on their instructions.

Processing of personal data is necessary for us to be able to fulfill our contractual obligations and serve you as a customer. Personal data can also be used for the following purposes: Sales, contact with customer service, marketing, information, bookkeeping.

When marketing by e-mail / SMS, explicit consent is obtained in advance. By giving us your personal information, you also agree to the terms and conditions described in this privacy statement. If you have objections or questions regarding our treatment, please contact us.


1. The purpose of collecting personal information.

The purpose of our customer registration is to enable you to shop in our online store. We also want to be able to offer our customers information about our products, and that we should be able to provide offers based on the purchase of goods and services. We also want to be able to provide customized communication and to build general knowledge about buying trends.

The processing of the information about you is based on the consent you have given and is processed in accordance with the Personal Data Act 2018, the Accounting Act, the Accounting Act and any other relevant laws.

According to the Personal Data Act, Brødrene Flaarønning AS has the role of data controller. If information about you is handed over to our service providers, the service provider will be the data processor for this information.


2. What information is collected

 Information that you give us

We collect data that is given to us by registration in the online store, telephone or if we are contacted via email. The data includes name, address, email and telephone number. This is stored with us so that we can deliver goods to your home, contact you if needed, improve our service, in accounting, delivery of information about the order and sending out newsletters.

Information when you visit

When you as a customer visit our websites, we automatically collect information about products you click on, product categories, device information (mobile, tablet, computer), IP addresses, operating system and browsing pattern (how long a page is visited, how many pages are visited, which products are looked at one after the other). This is anonymous data and cannot be linked to names. This information is used to improve our websites, and if you have provided data as described above, give you personal content in relation to our own marketing. It includes a front page with personal products, and newsletters with content tailored to products and categories you are interested in.

How do we collect data?

We use data that you submit in connection with shopping and contact via email. We use cookies (cookies) to examine the use of the website so that we can improve it. Cookies are small data cookies that are stored locally on your PC, mobile or tablet.

When you visit the, we set both temporary and permanent cookies if you have given us your consent to collect this information. A temporary cookie is often deleted automatically when you close your browser, while it can stay on your computer for up to 90 days.

We use cookies, among other things, to remember your login, password in encrypted form, remember the contents of your shopping cart, and to improve the user experience. Without cookies, an online store will not work. 

Why we collect data

 We collect data in order to maintain contact with you as a customer, send out goods and information about our products. By email we send out:

• Order confirmations

• Packing slips

• Return form

• Reminders about when the sold-out item is in stock again, if you have requested information about this.

If you sign up for the newsletter, you will receive emails that contain information about current products, news, offers, tips and trends.

To physical addresses, we only send out items that the customer has ordered, invoices or other papers that are related to the order.

Brødrene Flaarønning AS and our service providers may use the information you have registered, and information that arises through your customer relationship with us, so that we and our partners can fulfill our agreements with you.

Standard procedures are giving personalized offers, handling discount codes, gift cards and order confirmations, as well as manage your customer relationship, for example if you contact customer service.

Brødrene Flaarønning AS and our service providers use the information to provide you with offers and communication in line with the consents you have given. You can withdraw your consent at any time, and we will then delete the information stored in connection with the relevant consent.

If you want a newsletter with information about current products, news, offers, trends and tips, you must actively sign up for the newsletter in a separate section. If you do not want a newsletter later, you can easily change this on "My account - Newsletter" or by clicking on "I do not want to receive more newsletters" at the bottom of the newsletter.

We analyze purchase history to provide you with personalized and relevant offers, as well as suggestions for frequently purchased products.

Detailed purchase history is stored for up to five years in accordance with the requirements of the Norwegian Accounting Act. Detailed purchase information is anonymized.

If you notify us that you no longer wish to be listed as a customer, all information about you will be deleted except the information required by the Norwegian Accounting Act.

Brødrene Flaarønning as uses purchase history from your previous purchases, as well as information that has come in via our cookies to analyze trends and response to campaigns, and to optimize the range and operation of the suppliers' services. Then personally identifiable information is not used.


4. Third parties / partners

Personal information can be shared and processed by Brødrene Flaarønning AS's partners. These include providers of digital services, payment solutions, logistics and accounting. Pursuant to the Personal Data Act, such companies are data processors and process information in accordance with instructions given by Brødrene Flaarønning AS in accordance with data processor agreements with Brødrene Flaarønning AS.

Brødrene Flaarønning AS may in certain cases, regulated by legislation, also provide information to the authorities.


5. Security

Security and data sharing

To secure the information you have provided to us, we follow strict guidelines for storage and securing of data. Data security complies with current legislation.

We do not pass on, sell or exchange any information with outsiders. 3rd party companies will only have access to such information if we have hired them to perform certain services for Brødrene Flaarønning AS.

Our online store solution is provided by AS and data is stored in their cloud services at Amazon Cloud Services' (AWS) data center in Ireland.

Google Analytics

This is our analysis program. We use this to, among other things, see where our users come from, how often they visit our site and where the traffic comes from.

Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager to manage analytics and digital services

Google Adwords

We use advertising through Google's platform. Cookies are used so that advertising can be targeted based on visitor patterns.


This is our customer service module when it is activated in the online store. Among other things, it gives us the opportunity to offer you who use LiveChat directly on our website. All incoming and outgoing chat dialogs are stored at Crall.


Used to send out newsletters to those who have signed up for this. Name and email are shared with Mailchimp.


If you pay with Vipps in the online store, your telephone number will be sent to Vipps for further identification.

Klarna and Billpay.

If you pay with Klarna in the online store, personal information such as e-mail, name, address, social security number will be shared with Klarna for credit. Billpay’s/Klarna’s payment options: In order to be able to offer you Klarna’s payment options and to assess whether you qualify for their payment options and to tailor the payment options for you, we might in the checkout pass your personal data in the form of contact and order details to Klarna and Billpay. Your personal data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection law and in accordance with the information in Klarna’s (defrit or en versions) and Billpay’s (defrit or en versions) privacy notices.

We send packages with Bring and therefore we share information related to shipping such as name, telephone number and address with Bring.

Post Nord

We send packages with Post Nord and therefore we share information related to shipping such as name, telephone number and address with Post Nord.


We send packages outside Norway with DHL and therefore we share information related to shipping such as name, telephone number and address with DHL.


Used for information collection which is sent to us per. e-mail. For example. submission of information from companies that are interested in working with us.

Facebook Pixel

We use advertising through Facebook's platform. Cookies are used so that advertising can be targeted based on visitor patterns.

Snapchat Pixel

We use advertising through Snapchat's platform. Cookies are used so that advertising can be targeted at target groups based on visitor patterns.

6. Statistics

All visits to leave electronic traces. We analyze information, such as activity in our online store and in our pages in social media, as well as information about any purchases in the online store.

The information is not used to identify you as a person. We use the information to create statistics that, for instance show which pages are most read, sales and popular products. This is how we can improve the user experience when you visit our online store.


Google Analytics:

We use Google Analytics to run in-depth analysis of our websites.

The information Google collects about the use of this website is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymization is activated on this website, the IP address will be shortened before it is sent within the EU or EEA area. Only in exceptional cases will the entire IP address be sent to a Google server in the US before being truncated there. The anonymous IP address that your browser sends to Google Analytics does not match any other data provided by Google.


7.Social Media

Our online store includes features for social media, including the like button for Facebook. Such features may record your IP address and the page you access on our site, and they may store cookies for the features to function as intended. Social media features are operated either by a third party or directly on our site. Your use of such features is subject to the privacy statement of the company that provides them.

You can log in to My Page at any time on our website or call our customer center to update your contact information or change the settings for how you prefer to receive mailings. Unfortunately, we can not help you restrict or change social media posts. You must make such changes yourself in the relevant account.


8. Changes

Brødrene Flaarønning AS may change consent and privacy statement to comply with new legal requirements, and due to changes in our own practice for the collection and processing of personal data. For changes that require consent, you will be asked to agree to new terms when you log on to before the changes are implemented.

Right to correction and change of consent

You can control your consents and choices on "My Account", when you are logged in to As logged in, you have access to your personal information and your purchase history. If you require changed information that you cannot change yourself by logging in to "My account" in the online store, then get in touch and we will help you.



To receive our newsletter, you must actively subscribe to the newsletter.

Consent to receive newsletters can also be edited on "My Account-Newsletter".

You can also at the bottom of the newsletter we have sent out click on "I do not want to receive more newsletters" and thereby unsubscribe from the newsletter.


Right to transfer, and access.

You have the right to receive a copy of your personal information. This only applies to the personal information you have provided to us.

You have the right to request information about the personal information we hold about you at any time. Contact our customer service and you will receive your personal information via e-mail.


Right to delete

You have the right to delete any personal information processed by Brødrene Flaarønning AS at any time, except in the following situations:

• you have an ongoing case with Customer Service

• you have an open order that has not been sent yet or has only been partially sent

• you have outstanding debt with Brødrene Flaarønning AS, regardless of payment method

• you are suspected of or have misused our services during the last four years

• your debt has been sold to a third party during the last three years, or during the last year for deceased customers

• your credit application has been rejected within the last three months


If you notify us that you no longer wish to be listed as a customer, all information about you will be deleted except the information required by the Accounting Act.
